CESCO PARTICIPATED IN THE 9TH VERSION OF “VISIÓN REGIONAL” IN COPIAPÓ

Last Tuesday, June 18th, Cesco’s Executive Director, Alejandra Wood, participated in the ninth version of “Visión Regional”, a cycle organized by the newspaper Diario de Atacama and the Corporation for the Development of the Atacama Region (Coproa).

In this opportunity, the activity held in Copiapó was called “Perspectives of Regional Development: The vision of public opinion” and consisted in the presentation of an opinion study carried out in the region around the thinking of the Atacama community in front of investment, their quality of life, and institutions.

Alejandra Wood moderated a conversation panel in which Roberto Izikson, Manager of Public Affairs and Quantitative Studies of Cadem; Daniel Llorente, President of Corproa and the Intendant of the Atacama Region, Patricio Urquieta. She commented that “it was a very interesting experience to know how relevant the mining company is to the public opinion of the Atacama people. Especially at a time when institutions, both public and private, have such a deteriorated image. There was an interesting reflection on the public role of the mining companies.”
