The Center for Copper and Mining Studies (CESCO), launched today an initiative called “CHILE MINING COUNTRY: WHAT’S YOUR OPINION, CANDIDATE?”, where young people under 35 are invited to ask their concerns regarding the preset and the future of mining to the current presidential candidates.
To achieve this, a survey is being carried out with five central themes – Codelco, Mining, Lithium, Environment and Communities and Future of Mining – where young participants have the possibility to choose one question per topic or add their own question, in case the existing ones do not fully represent them. The most voted questions will be then presented to the main presidential candidates to know their vision and proposals in those matters.
Alejandra Wood, Executive Director at CESCO, called on all Young people to participate and be part of the future of mining and their public policies. “We need to hear the voice of the new generations to build a sustainable mining that identifies every Chilean”.
The survey will be active until Tuesday, July 18th. Those interested in answering it should go to: https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/P6C382G
