In Between November 28th and December 1st, 2017, the sixth version of the ASIACOPPER WEEK will be held in Shanghai, China. The meeting is one of the most important in the global copper industry and is organized by CESCO in conjunction with the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA). The speaker of the main activity – Asia Copper Dinner – will be Mr. Zhu Min, who is currently Head of the National Institute for Financial Research of Tsinghua University (NIFR) and was President of the Bank of China between 2003 and 2009 as well as serving as Deputy Managing Director of the IMF.
The renowned Chinese economist will be the keynote speaker at the dinner on Thursday 30th November, where more than 1,800 industry executives will be able to hear about China’s outlook for the coming years.
Mr. Zhu Min has published a wide range of books on macroeconomic management, financial regulation and supervision, as well as financial market issues. He is a guest lecturer at several postgraduate colleges and a frequent speaker at major world economic forums.
After assuming his current position at Tsinghua University’s National Institute of Financial Research, he encouraged the university’s researchers to form a “broader view” and to present a “daring effort” for researching. Under his leadership, he has established a bidirectional mechanism to “invite and go abroad” through the creation of exchange visits and the holding of academic seminars with international financial institutions. In this way, he seeks to broaden the international reputation of the Institute.
