Ernesto Tironi

Economist and Ph. D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA). President of the Networking Ltda. Business Development.

He has worked in the development and implementation of the Gas Andes and Gas Pacífíco natural gas pipeline projects from Argentina to Chile. Was Chief negotiator for Chile in the Uruguay Round and Ambassador to the UN in Geneva. Advisor to business organisations on trade and intemational affairs. Has been the General Manager of CORFO in Chile and has sit in the Boards of the Empresa Nacional de Minería (ENAMI), ENTEL, Celulosa Arauco S.A., Gas Andes and GasSur. Has taught at Universities in Chile, Peru, the US and Great Britain. Author of several books and papers on economic and international development. In the 80’s he founded and directed the Centro de Estudios del Desarrollo (CED).
