Cesco and CRU will hold a series of webinars to analyze the present and future of the copper industry

With the support of the International Copper Association (ICA), the Center for Copper and Mining Studies and the consultancy CRU will carry out a series of webinars under the name of “Copper Matters”, to analyze different aspects that are marking the future of the copper industry today,  especially in these times of pandemic.

The first of the webinars will take place on July 7, where The Copper Mark initiative, formally launched in early 2020, will be discussed to create a comprehensive system that enables the industry to demonstrate its responsible production practices and its contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In this first chapter, Michele Brülhart, Executive Director of The Copper Mark, will be present as well as industry representatives who are adopting this system.

Subsequently, on July 21, the second chapter will be held, focused on the growth of the electric car market, where copper plays a fundamental role. This meeting will feature participants from IDTechX and Volvo, among others.
