Asia Copper Week 2022 will be held in Singapore, and the Asia Copper Dinner will feature Máximo Pacheco as the main speaker

The meeting returns to be face-to-face and will bring together the leading executives of the copper industry with their foundry peers. Along with the traditional Asia Copper Dinner, a new event organized by CRU is added: the World Copper Conference Asia.

After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, Asia Copper Week returns to in-person meetings in Singapore, bringing together the world’s copper mining industry with its smelter peers and other relevant actors involved in the industry. The encounter, organized by the Center for Copper and Mining Studies (CESCO) and the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), will occur between November 22 and 24, 2022.

“As CESCO, today we announce part of the agenda of activities that we are developing for Asia Copper Week 2022,” said Leopoldo Reyes, Chairman of the CESCO Board of Directors. “This meeting has generated a lot of interest for the mining and smelter sectors, especially after a two-year break and given the industry’s challenges.”

This year, the events CEO Reception Dinner (November 22) and CEO Summit (November 24) return, bringing together the leading executives of the sector around the medium and long-term challenges they will face as an industry on topics such as social license, sustainability, the digital revolution, and gender issues. Added to this meeting is the Asia Copper Dinner, where more than 1,000 attendees will participate on November 24 and feature the Chairman of Codelco’s Board of Directors, Máximo Pacheco, as the main speaker at the meeting.

Reyes mentioned that “there is great expectation regarding how the Chilean mining sector is developing, in particular, the challenges presented by the major copper producer, so having a main speaker like Máximo Pacheco will undoubtedly be welcome.”

Furthermore, the World Copper Conference – Asia will be held for the first time, organized by the CRU consultancy. This entity develops the World Copper Conference during CESCO Week Santiago. The meeting will take place between November 23 and 24 and will bring high-level executives together at a time of great importance in the industry.
