Alejandra Wood resigns from the executive direction of Cesco

Alejandra Wood has submitted her resignation to the Executive Management of CESCO due to her appointment as a member of Codelco’s Board of Directors, a concession that our Corporation has accepted.

We regret the departure of Alejandra, whose work in just over six years contributed significantly to strengthening CESCO as a benchmark for the country’s mining industry, always seeking to be an independent voice committed to the development of more and better mining for Chile. The extreme work agenda, both nationally and internationally, in studies, reports, specialized seminars, and work commissions had a primary factor in Alejandra.

For this reason, we do not doubt that his recognized experience will be a significant contribution to Codelco to success face its environmental, technological, economic, and social challenges.

Considering that there are many activities in the execution process, we have asked Alejandra to continue supporting us in a transition period in specific matters that do not interfere with her new responsibility.

As of this date, Mr. Leopoldo Reyes, President of the Corporation, will assume the role of Interim Executive Director.
